		<description>As you can probably see, I don't follow links left in comments.  The simple reason is that links that are followed are endoresed by me.  I unfortunately don't have time to check out every link that gets posted in the comments and then remove the ones I don't endorse.  The negative impact of a major search engine following a link from this site that goes to a spam site, or one that contains malware, is far more serious than the very minor benefit of following links in comments.  Personally, I'd like to think people post comments because they are interested in the subject and have something to add, not because they want some SEO benefit.

But that's just my opinion, and I respect any blog that does follow links that they don't have total control over (call me a control freak!).  Thanks for the comment.</description>
